Do you have a personal vision statement?After all, individuals need a vision statement as much, if not more than businesses do. Now let's be clear on what a vision statement is and does. A vision statement shouldn't be a rambling statement about the organizations primary industry or markets, market segments or targets, standards and values, brand and customer focus, or customer and stockholder wealth.Vision statements should be simple and inspirational. It should be a succinct view of your future state or the organizations direction. A vision must be short, be inclusive and spell out a specific action.Remember, a vision statement must be short and memorable.By inclusive I mean to begin the vision statement with I or we, the family or team, or perhaps it can simply include two Partners.The reference to a specific action indicates exactly what will the objective of the change be. Let's look at some examples of good visions We will double our income in three years. You should be able to visualize your vision. It should be a dynamic statement in which you can clearly imagine yourself in the future.Write your own inspirational personal vision statement and share it with your Partner. Then use the Personal Partnering Process to plan and execute your strategy to achieve it. Don't try to do it alone...get a Partner and become more prosperous.
